We Separate, trap and treat all your cooking fats, oils and greases
Protecting both your drains and the Environment.
These units are for installation below-ground, connected to the main drain line. A standard concrete surround is required during installation.
Each PPD Biomass Grease Trap is primarily an efficient separator - the grease and oil stay trapped and water is allowed to pass out to the drain. Inside the Grease Trap, a PPD Bio-treatment dosing system creates a Biomass to eat the grease and oil converting it to CO2 and water.
We offer several different dosing systems to create the Biomass inside the grease
trap. The recommended systems for the Underground Biomass Grease Traps are:-
System A: Automatic BioFluid dosing - The automatic pump doses the drain and Biomass Grease Trap, every night at 2 a.m. With a small dose of BioFluid.
S
ystem C: Slow-release Biosock - A mesh bag the size of a man’s sock hangs from a
cord inside the Biomass Grease Trap and releases bacteria into the trap over a period
of 4 months. At the end of this time it is thrown away and replaced with a new one.
There is a large range of sizes and options to suit most installation requirements.
It is worthwhile noting that there are more than 12 microbe strains used, all are naturally occurring and harmless, chosen specifically for their ability to break down different types of fats and oils. They are particularly beneficial to Septic tanks and sewage treatment plants.
PPD Underground Biomass grease traps are manufactured from super-strong Fibreglass which has an expected life in excess of 25 years with 110mm or 160mm drain pipe connectors.
