Two sizes of Domestic Kitchen Biomass Grease Traps are available to suit household of up to 10 meals per day and up to 20 meals per day.

Each PPD Biomass Grease Trap is primarily an efficient separator - the grease and oil stay trapped and water is allowed to pass out to the drain. Inside the Grease Trap, a PPD Bio-treatment dosing system creates a Biomass to eat the grease and oil converting it to  CO2 and water.

We offer several different dosing systems to create the Biomass inside the grease trap. The recommended systems for the Domestic Kitchen Biomass Grease Traps are:-

System A: Automatic BioFluid dosing - The automatic pump doses the drain and Biomass Grease Trap, every night at 2 a.m. With a small dose of BioFluid. A 5 Litre bottle of BioFluid generally lasts about 2 months.

System B: Manual BioFluid dosing system - a 1 litre bottle of 30% BioFluid concentrate with an hand pump attached. Two full pump strokes inject 30% concentrated BioFluid directly into the sink drain late in the evening every day, after cooking has finished. Every Day,Two squirts followed by a little water in the sink drain. The 1 litre bottle lasts 50 days.

It is worthwhile noting that there are more than 12 microbe strains used, all are naturally occurring and harmless, chosen specifically for their ability to break down different types of fats and oils. They are particularly beneficial to Septic tanks and sewage treatment plants.

PPD Domestic Kitchen Biomass grease traps are manufactured from tough polyethylene which has an expected life in excess of 25 years with 40mm universal waste pipe connectors.
